These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Contractor Near Me website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Platform") operated by Contractor Near Me, Inc. ("we," "us," "our"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

1. Agreement to terms

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Contractor Near Me. They incorporate by reference our Privacy Policy and any additional policies posted on the Platform. We may update these Terms from time to time as described in Section 10.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Platform. By using it, you represent that you meet these requirements. Contractors must additionally hold all licenses, insurance, and registrations required by their state or jurisdiction for the trades they offer.

3. Your account

You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for any activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@contractornearme.com if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information, including fake reviews, fake job requests, or fake credentials.
• Solicit homeowners or contractors off-platform to circumvent fees or attribution.
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute Platform content without written permission.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's operation or security.
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users.

5. Contractor-specific terms

Contractors agree to maintain valid licensing, insurance, and any registrations required for their trade and jurisdiction; respond to qualified leads in good faith; provide work that meets reasonable industry standards; honor quoted prices except where the scope materially changes; and comply with our review and dispute policies. We reserve the right to remove profiles that receive consistent verified complaints or fail re-verification.

6. Homeowner-specific terms

Homeowners agree to provide accurate information when requesting quotes, treat contractors and our staff respectfully, only submit reviews based on actual work performed, and resolve disputes in good faith. We do not directly perform contracting work and are not a party to contracts you form with pros found through the Platform.

7. Payments and fees

The Platform is free for homeowners. Contractors pay a flat monthly subscription based on their selected plan. The first 14 days are free with no credit card. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled in your dashboard. Refunds are governed by the policy at our Help Center. Unpaid invoices may result in profile suspension.

8. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. While we verify contractor credentials at onboarding and annually, we do not guarantee specific outcomes, work quality, or contractor availability.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim, or (b) USD $100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be announced via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
